AMDEX Corporation is seeking a senior accountant to support our Silver Spring HQs office. Responsibilities:

The ideal candidate will be able to perform the following tasks:

Assist in implementation of the new JAMIS accounting system
Manage and oversee all accounting activities.
Perform monthly closing process including preparation of financial statements, analytical reviews, and assist in periodic audits.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial reports.
Manage all general ledger activities, prepare journal entries, and bank reconciliations.

Manage accounts receivable and preparation of commercial and government contract billings.

Assist in providing information to outside accountants for audit and tax preparation.

Requirements:

B.S. in Finance, Accounting or a related discipline
Minimum of 5 years of experience as an accountant
Federal Government Contracting experience (FAR, DFAR)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel
Experience with mainstream accounting software
