Job Description:

Tax Accounting Manager

Overall Description:
Will assist in all aspects of the quarterly and year-end tax reporting function, including data collection, preparation/review of domestic and international FAS 109 calculations, Sarbanes-Oxley testing, tax research, and supervision of tax seniors and staff

Responsibilities:
•Review detailed US and international FAS 109 calculations
•Review and monitor FIN 48 uncertain tax positions
•Ensure that tax accounting process meets/exceeds Sarbanes-Oxley Section 404 internal control requirements
•Manage collection of data from US and international businesses and monitor related internal deadlines
•Prepare required SEC tax footnote and other tax related disclosures
•Prepare long-term forecasts of effective tax rate for budget and strategic planning
•Prepare long-term taxable income forecasts for tax attribute utilization planning
•Perform purchase accounting analysis for acquisitions
•Work closely with treasury, internal accountants and other finance personnel to gather/analyze data
•Recruit, hire, manage and develop staff
•Miscellaneous tax research and other projects
•Foreign travel may be required (limited)

Qualifications:
•Minimum of 5-10 years public/private tax experience.
•Bachelor’s Degree in Finance and/or Accounting required. CPA a plus.
•FAS 109 analysis experience required.
•Strong computer skills: proficiency in Excel, Word, Power Point.
•Detail oriented and well organized.
•Strong technical and analytical skills
•Excellent oral and written communication skills.
•Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
•Ability to work on multiple projects.
