A Washington, DC healthcare information management consulting firm seeks a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) administrative assistant to provide support as part of a project team within a federal healthcare agency.
Key responsibilities: enter, scan, and track FOIA requests in FOIA Express, the proprietary web-based system, take meeting minutes and capture and track questions and issues from conference calls and other meetings, responsible for maintaining quarterly activity reports and issuing action items within the FOIA officer team, send out preapproved responses, acknowledgements, and referral letters and provide back-up support to administrative staff and senior-level managers.
Skills: must have outstanding computer skills, particularly with the MS Office suite including Outlook, SharePoint, Word, PowerPoint, Project & Excel, must be very detailed oriented and have the ability to track and maintain multiple tasks at once, ability to communicate effectively between various individuals and groups within a large organization, must be able to take direction from FOIA officers and work independently. Candidates must have 5+ years of project or administrative support experience, proficiency in MS Office applications, experience in healthcare field preferred. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
The firm offers a competitive salary of $40,000 to $50,000 and an excellent benefits package as well as opportunities for advancement. Hours are 8:30 to 5:00.
Selected candidate will need to undergo and pass a government security clearance.
