In search of highly motivated individual to join an exceptionally productive team responsible for the overall success and development of NCBs cash management and deposit related products and services. The Deposit Production Business Development Officer will be responsible for the development and direct sale of all cash management and depository related products and services. This individual must be a self starter with a proven track record of successful national sales campaigns. It will be under the purview of the National BDO to acquire a new book of business while expanding relationships to the existing client base and established markets. Supports business development activities of the Deposit Production Office. Works with department head to develop sales strategies to aggressively increase the sale and use of cash management/deposit products and services for the designated target market and prospect base directly linked to NCB’s strategic plan. Conducts client/prospect needs analysis. Develops proposed service solutions/sales presentations to assist businesses and organizations to make efficient use of cash through the NCB product offering. Coordinates sales efforts with Relationship Managers, Loan Officers, and Business Development Officers in order to acquire new business and strengthen existing client relationships. Maintains superior knowledge of all national best-in-class cash management/deposit products to ensure competitive viability.
Responsibilities Include
Identify and develop cash management / deposit sales opportunities while acting on and closing all leads generated internally and externally from business development officers and various delivery channels. Act as lead sales officer in regards to cash management prospects and proposal issuance. 40%
Ensure that cash management, commercial deposit products and services meet and exceed customer demands. Position products to optimally drive revenue while attaining short and long-term strategic goals. 20%
Follow up with clients, business development officers and loan servicing to ensure proper implementation in regards to all applicable documentation and necessary paperwork for proper compliance. 20%
Work with department head to develop marketing and promotional materials to effectively capture target market and sales goals. Create efficiencies with current delivery channels to maximize sales execution and effectiveness. 10%
Operate independently from business development officers and outside the family of NCB companies to fulfill sales goals and targets in regards to follow-up and new customer prospecting. Take lead role in regards to attaining local and national networking conference to establish multiple source lead generating contacts. 10%
Minimum Qualifications
College level or equivalent. 2-3 years of prior retail commercial banking experience, preferably in commercial cash management or financial service environment. A working knowledge of retail banking a must, strong cash management knowledge a requirement. Must have excellent organizational skills, self-starter with strong sales ambitions. Knowledge of Microsoft Office required. Must have professional corporate manner and an ability to handle various types of customer call inquiries. Good communication, interpersonal skills and the ability to prioritize assignments. Must be able to work independently and coordinate effectively in a team environment.
