Job Description:

AMDEX Corporation, a growing federal contractor based in downtown Silver Spring, is seeking a part-time Technical Support Specialist to provide IT support to our corporate office. This is a great opportunity to expand your IT skills as part of an award-winning diverse team.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and repair hardware and software, including workstations, laptops, printers, scanners, COTS & GOTS software, network connectivity, Blackberries, PDAs and other handheld devices, servers, etc.

  • Set up new employee workstations, including setting up hardware, domain accounts, and mailboxes

  • Ability to back up and restore data

  • Respond to help requests in a timely and professional manner

  • Provide one-on-one desk side training to employees requiring assistance on standard software applications or IT equipment

Requirements

  • 2003 MCP Certification or 2003 MCSA Certification

  • Experience in the following areas: network connectivity, windows client, electronic messaging, administering, patching, upgrading, installing and maintaining Windows Professional desktop application and operating systems

  • Knowledge and experience with MS Office applications (i.e. MS Outlook, Excel, Power Point, MS Word) and Internet Explorer
