Safety requirements include: An issued uniform and gear such as rubber gloves and/or goggles.

Strips and refinishes floors
Cleans mechanical housekeeping equipment
Washes windows, walls and doors
Shampoos rugs, hangs drapes
Operates buffers, vacuum cleaners and scrubbing machines
Sweeps and cleans outdoor areas
Washes trash baskets and cans
Picks up supplies
Cleans bathrooms and fixtures
Polishes metal and wood furniture
Maintains lavatory supplies
Collects and replaces soiled linen
May move furniture and perform other heavy lifting and carrying.
