Description
RGS is currently seeking Enterprise Architects to support Federal agency chief architects and CIOs. We are working to ensure that all EA efforts are integrated to support the overall IT Strategic Plan and are accurately reported to the appropriate external agency to ensure compliance. The Analyst will assist our client by creating a Seamless Infrastructure, creating Optimized Processes and Integrated Systems, optimizing Investments for Mission Accomplishment, transforming Applications and Data into Web-based Capabilities to Improve effectiveness and gain efficiencies, and aligning Business Mission Area Governance to Further Transformation Goals.
Responsibilities:
• Create EA project plans. This includes maintaining an EA delivery schedule for individual systems efforts and tracking mandated due dates, maintaining a resource plan and supporting project briefings
• Create a baseline AS-IS Enterprise Architecture. This includes classifying and documenting the components within the current business, data, application, and technical layers of the baseline architecture within DoD’s EA
• Create a baseline TO-BE Enterprise Architecture. This includes classifying and documenting the components within the current business, data, application, and technical layers of the baseline architecture within DoD’s EA
• Perform the Gap Analysis and create migration plan. This includes identifying the differences between the AS-IS and TO-BE Enterprise Architectures and developing a migration plan in moving from the AS-IS to the TO-BE Enterprise Architecture
• Create specific baseline AS-IS Enterprise Architectures for specific client systems. This includes classifying and documenting the components of our client’s current major IT systems
• Assist with the EA working groups, meetings and panels, including facilitation support and meeting minutes
• Assist in the integration of EA with other areas such as CPIC, and CMMI as required
• Support edits and updates to the IT Strategic Plan
Required Skills:
• Familiarity with the Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DODAF)
• Knowledge of federal government IT legislation, policy, and drivers, including Clinger-Cohen Act, OMB Circular A-130, electronic government, and the President's Management Agenda
• Minimum of three years relevant consulting experience
• Direct client support experience, on-site support a plus
• Intermediate to Advanced knowledge of MS Excel and MS PowerPoint
• Strong written, verbal communication skills; attention to detail; and ability to multi-task
Desired Skills:
• DoDAF Certification
• FEAC Certification
• Experience with EA tools, including Troux/Metis, Telelogic/Popkin, Agilense, Mega, and SADIE
Education: BS/BA
Clearance: Top Secret Clearance required. Candidates must be a US citizen and have the ability to obtain this level of clearance
