Description

 Support NAVAIR with acquisition and life cycle logistics in the areas of system design evolution and design for new/upgraded systems. Participate in the development of the detailed requirements and initial design of systems to meet overall performance requirements. Perform CDRL reviews on: level of repair, IETM source data, engineering data for provisioning, logistics management information (LMI) database, and diminishing manufacturing sources and material shortages (DMSMS). Prepare procurement initiation documentation. Attend briefings and technical meetings. Represents the organization as the primary customer interface in absence of manager, anticipates customer requirements and ensures customer satisfaction. Interacts with customers, colleagues and other contractors on significant issues requiring technical guidance. Develop Integrated Logistics Support Plans to ensure operational support requirements/Life Cycle Costs (LCC) are considered at all stages of the design, development and implementation of new systems. Conducts tailored LCC analysis of system designs and provide reports/recommendations/presentations to Program/Project Managers to minimize the LCC Utilizes COTS software applications to conduct Logistic Support Analysis of system designs and modeling of support requirements. May lead multi-discipline and cross-functional teams. Performs all other duties as assigned. Resolves problems that are complex in nature. Limited guidance available.
