Responsibilities |

This position will support the HQ/USAF Program Element Monitor (PEM) for the C-17 aircraft acquisition program. The duties will include: be the HQ/USAF functional expert for the C-17 acquisition programs. Analyze the program¿s schedule & funding for executability and be able to recommend options. Be prepared to brief and defend the C-17 program to OSD, OMB and Congress in the absence of the PEM. |

Qualifications |
|
Eight or more years of direct financial/budgetary or programming experience in the DOD Planning, Programming, Budgeting and Execution (PPBE) system is mandatory; preferably, at the HQ/ Air Force or OSD level. A Bachelor¿s Degree is mandatory. A major in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or a related aeronautical discipline is highly desirable. A Master¿s Degree in Finance, Business Administration or Engineering is also highly desirable. An equivalent combination of education, technical training and work experience can substitute for these specific majors.
Formal training thru DOD Acquisition Level I in financial or program management is mandatory.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, PowerPoint and Word is mandatory. Demonstrated ability to organize and execute complex financial tasks with regard to the C-17 program. Looking for a self-starter, who operates easily as part of a team or autonomously. |
