Business Requirements Analyst
As an experienced Business Requirements Analyst, you will help to define functional requirements to help build K12 systems and products with a focus on product development and curriculum delivery. Additionally, you will be involved with organizational evolving process/workflow and tool usage. Reporting to the Director of the Product Development Innovation team, you will elicit, analyze, validate, specify, verify and manage the business needs of the project stakeholders including international customers and end users.
The Business Analyst is involved throughout the business solution development lifecycle. Upon establishment of the requirements baseline, the focus is shifted towards verifying the fulfillment of all requirements and communicating changes in accordance with the project change control process.
Responsibilities:
* Understand and articulate the business vision, problem definition and opportunity by documenting business requirements, use cases and functional and non-functional requirements
* Perform interviews of project stakeholders and translate this information into manageable and executable requirements
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary management team in prioritizing functional requirements and developing a phased-development approach with the project team
* Communicate with colleagues and Director to ensure product remains true to stated goals of functional requirements throughout development of product
* Manage product requirements using standard traceability and change control methods
* Provide central coordination for all business and infrastructure requirements for Product Development initiatives as a critical member of the Product Development PMO
* Work across Product Development to establish thorough requirements for systems/products
* Ensure requirements are well documents, traceable and testable through implementation
* Interface directly with internal )Product Development) and external (other K12) stakeholders to ensure requirements are accurately articulated
* Facilitate the coordination and implementation of ideas and activities between the Product Development and Systems & Technology organizations to ensure positive cooperation in a dynamic matrix environment
* Work independently on behalf of multiple management areas to prioritize work and establish deadlines and milestones
* Resolve issues and conflicts as they arise

* Understanding of traditional and new requirements elicitation, analysis, specification, verification and management practices and the ability to apply them in practice; familiarity with requirements engineering concepts and principles
* Knowledge of product management concepts and how enterprise IT business application products are positioned and developed
* General business management and operations knowledge
* Bachelor’s degree in Business or technology related field
* 6-8 years direct product management and/or systems/business analysis experience
* Solid understanding and experience with web technologies
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience with content management systems and portals
* Experience with designing internationalized application
* Experience with designing section 508 compliant applications
* Familiarity with lifecycle process
* Familiarity with requirments management tools
* Highly skilled with industry supported software/methodologies and project organization
* Exposure to business operations

* Exposure to complex sales and marketing agendas and promotions
* PDMA NPDP or PMI PMP certification
