AECOM is seeking Chief of Party candidates for a USAID Economic and Governance project in Iraq. The Chief of Party will be responsible for overseeing all technical components, training sessions, and ensuring that overall project objectives and deliverables are met.
The COP will provide the overall vision and strategic direction of the project, as well as supervise and coordinate all long and short-term staff and consultants.
Qualified candidates will have expertise in one or more of the following areas:
- Tax, Fiscal and Customs Reform
- Monetary Policy
- Commercial Law and Institutional Reform
- Banking Sector Development
- Social Services
Qualifications:
- Advanced degree in economics, law, or related field
- Previous experience as a COP for a USAID-funded project
- 10 or more years of technical experience in Tax and Customs, Commercial Law and Institutional Reform
- At least 10 years experience managing large-scale USAID funded economic development and/or governance projects; showing a strong working knowledge of development and foreign aid, with emphasis on the role and priorities of USAID
- Hands on experience working with Customs Systems and procedures and supporting government reform
- Significant experience in a post-conflict environment - Strong management skills and excellent interpersonal and written communication skills
- Fluent spoken and written English required
