Description
Make A Difference
Project Controls Engineer/Scheduler
Parsons provides landmark planning, environmental, engineering, construction, and facility operation services to the U.S. Government. Our innovative solutions have supported sustainability, space exploration, aviation, chemical weapons clean-up, military installations and ranges and missile defense programs. Our services also support reconstruction efforts after man-made or natural disasters and homeland security initiatives. We make the world a safer place.
Projects
Parsons has several large scale design-build governmental programs underway which require review of third party A/E firms' design and engineering deliverables; self performance of engineering studies, analysis, planning and design; commissioning services; and construction management oversight on mission critical facilities. These programs have openings for talented engineers who are clearable or already hold a security clearance. This position is contingent upon task order award anticipated later in 2009.
Need
Parsons is seeking a project controls engineer/specialist to help deliver shared or common IC-Tactical "user-ready" facilities that satisfy the intelligence community needs. The successful candidate will have project controls experience using Excel, Primavera, and Document and Materials Controls System (DMCS) software. This position requires analysis, evaluation, and forecasting current project status with the established baseline schedule. You will assess the impacts of design or construction changes and schedule slippages, as well as develop and maintain critical path logic networks and bar charts. The keys to success will be your abilities to understand and apply engineering, procurement, and construction terminology, concepts, and relationships to project control issues that may impact the design and construction of "user ready" IC-Tactical facilities. Experience on governmental projects requiring 1391s is a plus but, not required.
