Job Description:

AECOM has immediate full-time openings for Project Control Specialists for our Richmond Virginia business operations to support Construction and Environmental Remediation projects on a local and national, extended travel basis. This position is an entry-level position which entails cost tracking, estimating, forecasting, logistics support and procurement. Projects are construction related and will generally involve environmental remediation or preservation. Environmental contaminants of concern range from dissolved nutrients and suspended solids to RCRA hazardous waste and munitions and explosives. Clients include federal, state, and local government agencies, and large industrial and commercial companies.

Applicants must have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Computer skills are a must with extensive knowledge of Microsoft Excel. Extended, long-term travel (up to 95%) may be required. Must have the ability to communicate, organize, and manage multiple estimates. Must be an organized, self-starter with a strong ability to communicate and have the ability to work individually or in teams. Experience in environmental, heavy civil, structural, mechanical, electrical and federal facilities a plus. Must be capable of working in a remote office from supervisor. This is an entry-level position.
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Cost estimating and tracking for construction and remediation projects
Contract administration and support
Logistics support and scheduling
Procurement and subcontract management
Project forecasting and reporting

Drug test, physical, and background check required. Other requirements include a Bachelor’s degree in one of the following: Business degree or Engineering degree from an accredited university or college. Possession of a legal/valid driver’s license is also a requirement.
