Data Center Subject Matter Expert; Springfield, VA; $120K

Subject Matter Expert in data center design & operation.  System or Mechanical Engineer with demonstrated design and analytical expertise in the areas of complex, mission critical facilities. Ideal candidate should be knowledgeable of the design, construction, commissioning, and operational phases of the datacenter's lifecycle, with specific expertise in more than one of these areas, IT equipment, and the interplay between the gear and the datacenter.  Possesses authoritative knowledge of large-scale mechanical infrastructure systems for mission-critical facilities with experience in migrating & operating applications in a virtual environment. Knowledge of architectural concerns, large-scale computing farms, networking, and large industrial/commercial cooling distribution systems is a major plus. The candidate should have extensive experience being involved in large scale technical operations, demonstrable problem-solving leadership with limited oversight, and possess excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to create work product with highly accurate results. Must have a MS/MA Mechanical Engineering or related technical field and a current and active secret security clearance with 8 years experience in network and data center development and management.  This is a NOFORN position requiring a Secret clearance.
