Capitol CREAG is seeking to fill Contract Specialist/Senior Contract Specialist positions for a Government Agency. Typically handles routine or standard form contract agreements and related documentation in accordance with established contract policies and procedures. Requires a minimum of independent business judgment and a high degree of management attention.
Responsible for procurement of highly specialized real estate, design and construction services, equipment, components and systems (including those for high-rise buildings and their operating systems and information technology equipment and systems), professional or technical services, construction of specialized equipment or special purpose buildings and structures and a variety of supplies.
Contract Specialist
Pre-award and post-award functions involving procurements of significant Government-wide importance.
Pre-Award - analyzing requirements, recommending revisions to statements of work/specifications and determining the appropriate type of contract, milestones, and procurement planning.
Post-Award and Termination - conducts post-award and contractual terminations by initiating briefings with contractors to ensure full understanding of terms, handling of modifications, resolution of issues related to non-compliance and performance problems, and the termination process and ensuring compliance with contractual terms.
Customer relations - serves as a consultant to both internal and external customers.
