Summary of the Classification:
Provides full spectrum of contracts support to include administration of contracts documents, leading discussions with government customers, assisting in preparation of proposal BOEs, and responding to customer and internal requests for data, information, and contracts support. This person will also be expected to assume some Contracts Manager duties when Contracts Manager is unavailable on travel, vacation, or overseas deployment.
Principal Responsibilities:
¥ Reviews contract documents and correspondence for actions and resolution
¥ Assists in the development of cost and price proposals
¥ Resolves general contractual matters
¥ Resolve customer and internal requests for data or action
Performs many of the following responsibilities:
- Acts as a resource to operations in resolving complex contracts issues
- Recommends changes to contracts procedures as required to meet operational objectives
- Responsible for maintaining proper filing and distribution of contracts documentation
- Tracks and maintains contracts deliverables matrix and other required data
Education Required:
Bachelor’s Degree
Experience Required:
Typically, three (3) to five (5) years experience in a combination of contracts, business and/or finance/accounting environment. A candidate with rare skills or a military background may be eligible with less than three years experience.
Special Knowledge/Skills Required:
- Demonstrates proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Knowledge of government contracts and Federal Acquisitions Regulations (FAR)
- Comprehends normal contract documents and understands contract format and forms
- Strong organizational skills
