Position Description:

The successful candidate will be able to:
-Constantly liaise with food stores to ensure that insufficient or excessive food pars are reported and dealt with immediately.
-Work closely with all pastry colleagues to ensure that insufficient or excessive food production is managed to reduce costs.
-Support a safe working environment by ensuring that all staff are working safely and equipment deficiencies are reported immediately.
-Promote cooperation and teamwork amongst all departments of the kitchen as well as departments within the hotel.
-The successful candidate must exhibit a passion for pastry, desire to achieve perfection and posses the ability to create the same sense of excitement from the colleagues.
-Must keep abreast of pastry trends and continually seek to improve on all that is done within the kitchens, pastry competitions experience an asset.
-Current First Aid and Serve Safe training an asset.
- At least 2 years pastry experience in a similar type of establishment

Qualifications:
- Accredited pastry degree or equivalent an asset
- Ability to work well under pressure, adapt to change and perform with a high level of energy at all times;
- Ability to produce creative and artistic products; plan and produce centerpiece displays and banquet trays;
- Be able to perform job functions with attention to detail, speed and accuracy; work well under pressure of meeting production schedules and timelines.
- Ability to work flexible shifts is essential
