AECOM’s Global Mobility Department, located in Glen Allen, VA is seeking a Senior Expatriate Services Specialist to be the primary point of contact for the preparation of the assignment letters, managing the assignment process, and tracking and proper payment/reporting of compensation for the 300+ US and Canada outbound employees located around the globe. Position reports to the Director of Expatriate Tax/Remuneration.
Responsibilities:
· Consult with internal customers (HR, Business Leaders, and assignees) to ensure accurate interpretation and implementation of the expatriate policies and processes.
· Liaise with the payroll department to oversee and to ensure timely and accurate payroll processing for all assignees’ pay
· Update assignment components, i.e. COLA, assignment allowances
· Respond to all payroll inquiries and escalate as required
· Ensure assignee compensation costs are captured, reportable and ultimately charged to appropriate business entities in relation to participation in employee mobility programs (relocation, expatriate, frequent business travel, etc)
· Ensure domestic (federal and state) and international tax filings are completed in an accurate and timely manner.
· Work closely with the Tax Managers and a Tax Specialists to streamline the compensation data collection for tax filing processes.
Create and maintain a database of filings and document filing processes to ensure business continuity.
Qualifications:
· Minimum of 3-5 years in-depth expertise and experience of US / International payroll/assignment procedures
· Prior experience working with the expatriate assignment letter production, calculations, and payroll
· Experience in Shadow and Split payroll processing preferred
· Experience with ADP Streamline and Excel a plus
· Exceptional attention to detail, ability to take initiative and work under tight deadlines are required
