Position Description
The Senior Litigation Paralegal is responsible for managing complex litigation matters and assisting lawyers in all phases of the litigation process, from the discovery period through the trial, post-trial and appeal.
Key Tasks, Duties and Responsibilities:
The key tasks, duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to the following:
Organize, manage and maintain case discovery materials; index and organize document productions including number-stamping, redacting, photocopying and indexing of documents, checking copies, setting up and maintaining files which are organized chronologically, numerically and/or by subject matter;
Prepare privilege logs; review and analyze documents for production, under the direct guidance of an attorney; categorize documents by subject, prepare chronologies, create charts, perform calculations and statistical analyses;
Prepare for and provide support during depositions, trials, and briefing, including cite checking and blue booking briefs, reviewing court papers for accuracy before final submission, creating witness kits and trial exhibit binders, reviewing depositions and hearing transcripts for relevant testimony; attending depositions and trials; digest transcripts to summarize highlights of a proceeding; making arrangements for transporting and setting up files at court;
Oversee the maintenance of correspondence and court papers; act as liaison with the Records Department and Managing Attorney's Office;
Assist with research, including pulling cases and conducting factual research; and
Act as liaison with the printers; file documents at court; act as liaison with internal firm departments.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience
A Bachelor's degree, 4+ years litigation experience and expertise in cite-checking and blue-booking are required. Trial experience is preferred.

Ability to communicate effectively with and develop and maintain relationships with attorneys, staff, colleagues and firm management.
