Patent Client Relationship Liaison – signing bonus available
Dynamic, team-oriented, highly specialized law-firm in Washington, DC is seeking an experienced Patent Client Relationship Liaison to provide legal support services for one of their clients. You must be totally familiar with the patent prosecution process and have worked with IP clients.
You will act as the intermediary between the client and law firm by answering questions, providing information, and requesting information concerning the U.S. and foreign patent prosecution and procedures and docket. Duties also include the preparation and filing of documents with the USPTO, including patent applications, responses to Missing Parts Notices, office action responses, Assignment recordings, Information Disclosure Statements, Formal Drawings, Issue Fees, Certificates of Correction, Petitions, Status Inquiries, Requests for certified patent copies, and other filings. This is a billable position that has a goal of 1500 billable hours a year.
Qualified candidates will have 3-5 years of intellectual property experience, be detail oriented and have excellent organizational and communication skills, both written and verbal. Undergraduate degree strongly preferred. Need to be a self-starter who enjoys being treated as a valued member of a winning team. Individual must be able to meet deadlines, complete projects/assignments and work under pressure/stress efficiently, productively and in a professional manner.
