Location: Washington, DC
Successful law firm is seeking a talented senior litigation paralegal to join its team. You will be handling complex litigation cases and need to be able to understand complex issues. Must be able to cite check according to the blue book, large briefs without supervision within tight deadlines. Must have site checked at least 25 briefs. Will be called on to navigate the electronic court systems and understand how to obtain and follow rules and procedures for various courts. Must be able to E-file.
Qualifications: 5 – 10 years litigation paralegal experience. BS/BA required. Paralegal certificate preferred. Also must have intermediate knowledge of databases, LiveNote and Concordance preferably. Advanced knowledge of Word required. Familiarity with Excel and PowerPoint a plus.
The salary is DOE. The firm has a fantastic yearend bonus, a longevity bonus, paid health for single and partially paid for dependents, long & short term disability, 22 days PTO for the first 3 years (longer after that), dental, vision, pre tax benefits for parking & metro check, 401K, profit sharing plan where the firm kicks in 5% the first 2 years and 7.5% after that.
The hours are 9:00 – 5:30 plus overtime.
