Job Description:

ULLICO Casualty Group, the Property and Casualty subsidiary of ULLICO Inc. headquartered in Washington, DC, is actively recruiting a Marketing Manager for Worker’s Comp Alternative Risk Solutions.  The successful candidate will report to the VP of Marketing and be responsible for handling marketing research, sales and service involved with the Worker’s Comp and alternative risk solutions implemented by ULLICO Casualty.  Knowledge of worker’s compensation, captive insurance programs, safety groups, and other alternative risk solutions is required.  The candidate will interact with Company underwriters, brokers and senior management in developing plans to implement programs and grow market share.  Duties include:

Duties:

 Develop new business for alternative risk programs including safety groups, captive insurance solutions and other alternative risk solutions.  Service existing business and relationships to ensure strong retention of desired accounts.
 Develop new broker relationships to support expansion of products in targeted states and programs.
 Review and provide input to new and existing programs and rate filings to ensure competitiveness in marketplace.  Coordinate with underwriting, compliance and actuarial team.
 In coordination with marketing team, develop collateral sales material including PowerPoint presentations, sales brochures and direct mail pieces to promote product awareness and support sales initiatives.
Provide service to new and existing programs as needed to ensure excellent customer service and customer loyalty.
Manage and represent Company at trade shows and conventions to promote products, develop new business and cultivate relationships with brokers, contractors, union personnel, and others.
Prepare sales reports on a regular basis.
Prepare marketing research analyses and reports, documenting opportunities for new sales, market competition and other pertinent data.
Support marketing initiatives including agent/broker support, training materials, Company marketing including direct mail, newsletters, email, etc.

The successful candidate will have excellent written and oral communication skills.  Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or a related field and three to five years of related experience. The ability to work independently and to manage multiple tasks is critical.  Travel requirement approximately 30-50%.
