Staff Physician – exciting opportunity for you BJA693

Location: Moorefield, WV

State of the art primary and urgent care facility located in Moorefield, WV (2 hours from DC and an hour from either Winchester or Harrisonburg, VA) seeks a Board Eligible/Certified Physician that is interested in growing with this thriving, busy, rural urgent care practice.

You can be Family Practice, Med-Peds or ER trained with preferred experience in urgent care medicine. You will be responsible for direct patient care in a rural urgent care setting including general pediatric and adult medicine including, but not limited to, Occupational medicine, X-ray evaluation, splinting and suturing.

You will supervise Clinical Staff at the facility during shift hours and work with the Medical Director and Assistant Medical Director of the facility along with 1 other full-time staff physician.

You will provide direct patient care to pediatric and adult population in a busy rural urgent care center. You will be primarily responsible for general pediatric and adult outpatient care, basic X-ray evaluation based on condition (chest, fractures, abdomen), suturing, wound care, chronic disease management, minor trauma, occupational medicine, some primary care. Participate in Community Outreach and Education programs.

Although NOT a trauma center or ER, you should able to stabilize acutely ill patients for transport.

You must be a Board Eligible/ Certified Physician trained in ER medicine, Family Practice or Med-Peds. ACLS, PALS, NALS, ATLS preferred.

You must be an MD or DO that trained in accredited US residency program. Licensure in West Virginia is preferred but not necessary.

You will work an average of 52 hour a week in 15 hour shifts. No On Call. Some weekends and holidays will be shared between you and the other physician on staff.

Salaried compensation is $160,000-$180,000 depending upon experience Full benefits provided include: Medical, Dental, STD, LTD, and 401K, Paid CME, Paid Vacation, Full Malpractice Coverage. Partnership opportunities can be discussed. Assistance with relocation available.
