Job Description:

This position will be based in the Alexandria, VA location. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a sales team of 4 to 6 individuals located across the Eastern United States. The individual will be responsible for the performance of the sales staff, monitoring selling activities, and driving new business development in the territory. The individual will also be responsible for managing and growing a personal business portfolio within the territory. This position requires an individual with strong sales and negotiation experience in a consultative selling environment, preferably in the CRM, ERP or enterprise software industry. Leadership skills should include creative problem solving coupled with business conscious decision making abilities. The candidate must be able to accurately scope complex engagements, structure proposals to accurately depict a designed solution, and properly position Velocity Group. This position reports directly to the President and will work with an expanding team of sales executives to grow the firm through strategic planning and execution of new initiatives. Requirements for this position are: Bachelor's Degree; Master's Degree preferred; 10+ years of relevant experience managing a sales team in a consultative selling and sales management role.
