Our CIO Solutions practice serves a variety of clients in both the public and private sectors in the areas of IT governance, business-IT alignment, IT modernization and strategy as well as IT security. Currently, our IT security services team is looking to expand and we are looking for an Information Assurance Analyst to join our team and to help grow this area of our firm.


As part of a 15-30 person team, the professional in this role will provide direct support for organizing, implementing and maintaining an Information Assurance Program (IAP) for a component of the federal client. The goal of this ISSP is to ensure security of all information technology assets in a manner which achieves compliance with industry and government standards.


Location is Washington, DC with 10% travel to local CVP sites. Candidate must be possess an active government security clearance or be eligible to obtain a government security clearance.


The successful candidate will support the Project Manager and Information Assurance leads in conducting activities that include:


Categorize sensitivity of information and information systems;


Conduct formal Certification and Accreditation (C&A) of all agency IT systems;


Implement security controls throughout the Systems Development Life Cycle;


Use the Capital Planning and Investment Controls (CPIC) process to formulate and plan security costs for all systems;


Monitor the system Configuration Management (CM) process of all systems;


Prepare agency annual Program and System specific security plans;


Participate in an effective Security Awareness and Training Program;


Conduct annual self-assessment of the Information Assurance Program using NIST standards;


Assist in drafting Information Assurance Policy and Standard Operating Procedures;


Respond to regular and ad hoc reporting requirements and audits by internal or external agencies; and


Monitor agency compliance to USDA, OMB, NIST and other governing bodies' policy for security.



To be qualified, CVP seeks the following skills:


Ability to acquire a government security clearance;


At least one year of experience or equivalent coursework / projects / internships as an information assurance analyst or related IT position, including basic skills in assessing systems and processes for compliance with information assurance rules and standards;


Knowledge of IT technologies and systems and demonstrated hands-on expertise and/or training in areas of emerging technologies; experience or knowledge in information assurance issues is a plus;


Demonstrated ability to work with technical and non-technical professionals to gain necessary information to test and certify IT Systems;


Effective oral and written communication skills, initiative, and flexibility;


Bachelor of Science degree in one of the following disciplines: information assurance, management information systems, or similar field.
