This is the senior resource responsible for assisting in the design and development of technology solutions. The Senior Software Engineer will have advanced technical skills and in-depth technical knowledge such that they can meet with Product Managers, understand requirements, conduct research and provide recommendations on design, development and implementation decisions to the Team Lead for any assigned projects.

1. Function as Senior engineer on software projects: Assisting the Team Lead in project estimating, ensuring the team meets project schedules, the integration of work by team members, keeping the project manager apprised of project related issues and progress, and coordinate with other parties to help ensure that projects are completed within established time lines.
2. Work with customers to help flush out requirements and project specifics to ensure the project will meet the customer stated requirements.
3. Assists in the design, development and implementation of complex application features
4. Demonstrates expertise in a variety of Software Development Lifecycle concepts, practices, and procedures and the ability to adapt those to organizational needs.
5. Collaborates and interfaces with Product Management to develop and implement the most cost effective solution in a timely manner.
6. Investigate new hardware and software technologies and provide assistance to test and evaluate such products for application in customer products.
7. Provides technical support to junior project team members.
8. Mentor and develops skills for junior personnel assigned to the project.
9. Ensure the quality of the code and adherence to industry and company best practices and standards.
10. Participates in regular project status meetings face-to-face or via conference calls as requested by business users.
11. Ensure overall high quality, on-budget, and on-time delivery of any assigned projects.

Knowledge:
Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in computer science or related field a definite plus but not mandatory.

Experience:
10+ years of software engineering experience required with the following:

• Extensive .NET development experience using C#.
• Relational database design and development experience, preferably with SQL Server.
• Windows Forms, Web Forms, and Web Services development experience.
• Multithreaded application development experience.
• OO design techniques, application architectures and design patterns.
• Experience with C, C++ is a plus.
• Application design and integration.
• Prior management experience is a plus.

Position requires limited travel.
