Job Description:

Mortgage Bankers Association is the preeminent association representing the real estate finance industry. Employing many talented people, MBA serves its membership by representing their legislative and regulatory interests before the United States Congress and federal agencies; by meeting their educational needs through programs and a range of periodicals and publications; and by supporting their business interests with a variety of research initiatives and other products and services. 


We are currently recruiting for a part-time (20 - 25 hrs/week) Mortgage Industry Technology Consultant. 


Responsibilities:


·            Manage the MISMO relationship.


o   Act as liaison to MERS.


o    Participate on all MISMO calls


§  Participate on all ongoing transition calls with MERS.


o   Monitor industry acceptance of MISMO.


·         Staff the Residential Technology Committee and Commercial Technology Committee.


o   Manage MBA Technology committees to provide a forum for member firms on technology management and innovation, and to help to steer future industry development.


·         Manage technology content and panelists for MBA conferences.


 


Required Skills and Background:


·         Undergraduate degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Technology, or related area combined with 8 plus years of related experience.  Relevant graduate degree may be used to offset some of the direct work experience requirements.


·         Experience in the mortgage banking industry or related industry technology.


·         Must work well with MBA members and possess familiarity with structuring meetings and conferences. 


·         Exceptional interpersonal skills due to the external focus of this role.


·         Experience in interfacing with upper level management.


·         Experience in managing technology projects and vendor selection through implementation.
