Qualifications
To deliver the I3P vision, the MEI Technologies, Inc. Team is looking for seasoned IT specialists who will function as ITIL Process Owners. Process Owners must have the following: • A least 10 years of IT experience • Experience supporting NASA • ITIL v3 Certification • The knowledge and insight necessary to frame, document, direct, and maintain IT practices, measure delivered outcomes, manage risk and continuously improve processes • Firsthand experience implementing at least one of the ITIL practices in the bulleted list above • Proven ability to interact with service implementation teams to provide process direction, training and improvement The following are also required: • A technical degree and ITIL certification • Secret security clearance • Familiarity with NASA standards and directives
Responsibilities
NASA Integrated Communications Services (NICS) is part of the IT Infrastructure Integration Program (I3P) and is chartered with providing network, data, voice, video and collaboration services across NASA. The existing NASA Integrated Services Network (NISN) provides the NASA Wide Area Network (WAN) communications infrastructure. Independently conceived and managed Local Area Networks (LANs) provide communications services within Centers. The I3P vision for the NICS contract is an integrated enterprise network encompassing both the existing NISN and the independent NASA Center LANs. Major goals of our support to NICS include an enterprise instantiation of ITIL and continuous process improvement of IT service delivery. NASA fully embraces ITIL and it has defined the following primary and secondary process improvement targets: • Change Management • Incident Management • Problem management • Request Fulfillment • Service Level Management • Strategy Generation • Service Portfolio Management • Service Catalog Management • Capability Management • Supplier Management • Asset & Configuration Management • Release & Deployment Management
