Please visit www.tandberg.com for more information.  General Purpose of this Position To implement, manage and maintain Unified Communication (UC) services internally in TANDBERG for video, voice, mobility, call centers, Instant Messaging (IM), presence and networks.  Essential Duties and Responsibilities •    Responsible for daily maintenance of the UC infrastructure including video infrastructure, Voice and video over IP (VoIP)       environment, Microsoft OCS, MS Exchange, and other related solutions; •    Perform periodic upgrades to production video infrastructure in conjunction with IT Customer Support, IT Service       Development and R&D; •    Shared responsibility for the video change process such as approval and implementation of new UC infrastructure       designs; •    IT Customer Service team escalations for UC related tickets; •    Identify recurring problems that may require design changes and develop test plan to produce a resolution; •    Assist in training of IT Customer Support Engineers; •    Work with IT Service Development and IT Customer Support to implement new services and applications;  Knowledge (The knowledge level is used as an approximation of years only and does not rule out individuals with more or less experience/knowledge. )  Five to seven years  •    Knowledge of protocols for all TANDBERG equipment and other vendors’ products; •    Concepts and principles of video conferencing, switched (ISDN), and pocket-based (IP) network; •    Experience in implementing new services, applications and products in a high-tech enterprise environment; •    Operational experience with upgrading production infrastructure with minimal business and user impact;  Skills and Abilities  •    Forward leaning person with a ”can do” attitude, good sense of humor and a strong ability to execute; •    Proud professional, combining personal enthusiasm with professional integrity to deliver strong analysis and        excellent handcraft repeatedly; •    Strives to exceed expectations; •    Combines analysis with a pragmatic approach, never letting the perfect scenario become an enemy of a good solution; •    Ability to work quickly and calmly in a fast-paced environment with conflicting demands; •    Ability to work in a global IT Operations video team; •    Ability to work well in a teamwork environment; •    Ability to organize and track work. •    Demonstrated organizational and leadership skills. •    Good understanding of Network solutions including Routers, Switches, QoS, MPLS; •    Good understanding of the SIP protocol & VoIP solutions, H323 and H320 protocols •    Good understanding of UNIX operating system and scripting. •    Good understanding of Microsoft Windows server operating system and related products. •    Ambitious and hard-working •    Ability to read sniffer/scope traces •    Fluent knowledge of Spanish, Portuguese, or French a plus.  Education & Certifications •    Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field preferred. •    In lieu of formal education, incumbent must have a minimum of 5-10 years of directly applicable, progressively responsible experience in a technical environment enabling the learning of the requisite knowledge, skills and abilities.  Certifications: CCNA or CCIE, MCSE also preferred  Working conditions  Flexible office work. Some travel.  Physical Demands  Physical Activities:  Must be able to perform installations of equipment to include, but not limited to: bending over, standing up, unpacking/packing boxes.
